Dozens of EOCI inmates brawl, prison locked down A series of fights involving at least 46 inmates in the Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution dining room put the Pendleton prison on lockdown Monday evening. At about 5:30 p.m., multiple fights broke out in the dining room and prison officials locked down the west side of the prison. When more fights broke out after dinner, the entire facility was locked down. One inmate required outside medical treatment, and the 46 involved in the fights were isolated after the incident. The institution is running on modified operations and visitation is cancelled until further notice.
