Balogun Ojetade deftly blends the sights, sounds and slang of the roaring 20s with vampires, African mysticism and nonstop action to deliver an exciting dieselfunk novel. Its a story with truly surprising twists and turns where the reader has no idea of the destination until its reached. In addition to the main story, Mr. Ojetade also treats us to an exciting prequel story and a definition of what is dieselfunk and pulp fiction. It all adds up to an enjoyable read.
