Dr Amartya Sen, A noble prize winning economist (Development Economics, I think). About two years ago I had a question on Prarie Radio, it was to Dr Amartya Sen, a Noble Prize winning Economist.. (the whole talk is very interesting if you have time) My question was asked in combination with other questions towards the end. My question was: Noted Agronomist such as the late Norman Borlaug, Bjørn Lomborg (Danish Environmentalist) and a late Julian Simon (Professor of Business Administration) do not think over population of the planet is a cause of too much concern. Professor Simon definitely does not agree with controlling the population and from what I gathered thinks that trying to control population would lead to increased corruption. What does Dr Sen think of over-population in general in relation to corruption, environmental stress, famine etc ? In short Dr Sen;s answers was that the planet was nowhere near over-population But to listen to this you would need headphones and have internet access.
