@Dr.Chukwuma Christopher Osaji An unemployed youth has been offered a no-interest loan of N100K to start a business. How best would you advice him/her to invest and into what? @Olaitan Okedeji He should first leave the bulk of the money in a savings account, go for a quick training in piggery, buy literature on the subject and source more related facts online, then find some space to rear pigs. They are fastest yielding. He should then diversify to other agro ventures like snailery, grasscutter farming......! I actually started with about that amount some years back( 2007) at a farming village called Coker village, Ifo Local Government Area, on rented open space. Built a cheap pigsty( 3 pens to start with) with some cement, wood and slate roofing. With I boar(male pig), 3 sows(female pigs) and 10 weaners(young pigs that are off milk and are fed to be sold in a few months to generate funds for more feeds and other reinvestment requirements), and in a year my entire investment was worth about N1.2m, with my pigs numbering 60 of varying sizes, apart from the ones I had sold to keep the project going and growing. The main feed, brewery waste, from Sona Breweries, was about N12k a tipper load then, it could last for a month plus, and I had free cassava peels, waste from fruit markets, wild growing waterleaf, banana and plaintain leaves to help out. Eventually, I bought 2.5 acres of land in the same place and have diversified. Its a long story, but suffice it to say, when theres a will there is a way
