Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Fisheries, Co-operatives, Printing & Stationery and Elections today congratulated the people of the far-flung area of Kathua for the creation of new administrative units. While expressing gladness over the formation of the new Tehsils and Niabats in the left-over areas, he said that the long-pending demand of the people is conceded for which they have struggled for a quite long time. He conveyed that he forcefully took up the issue with the committee constituted by the government for this purpose. The state government has created new administrative units in left-out areas of the state yesterday. In Kathua district, 04 new Tehsils are created at Barnoti, Gurah Kalyal, Duggan & Lohai. Similarly, 05 new Niabats have been ordered to be established at Juthana, Chakra, Sukrala, Dher and Dhar Jankar. He also expressed his satisfaction over the decision of the government to establish new type of Primary Health Centres at Kasheed, Nagrota Gujroo, Dhannu Parole, Baggan (Sather), Pallan and Mandli. Similarly, the government has also created 19 Health Sub-Centres in the far-flung areas of Kathua district which shall help the people to avail the medical facilities and health related problems solved at their door-step.
