Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam (Prantique), Assistant prof. of Jahangirnagar University (JU) Geography and Environment (G & E) department is such type of researcher who was awarded on ‘Best Young Researcher award 2011-2012′ by USA based International Ecological Modeling Society (ISEM). In October, 2013, the JU teacher was awarded at inauguration ceremony in 19th ISEM conference hold in France for his assiduousness. Mentionable, ISEM nominates the award with 50 specialist’s evaluations after considering two years empirical and qualitative research article published in international journal. Dr. Nazrul Islam was awarded for the topic titled “Numerical Modeling on Transition of Dominant Algae in Lake Kitaura, Japan” published in Higher Research and International Ecological Modeling Journal after verifying enormous amount of journal of different researchers in the world. For the achievements, Jahangirnagar University Teacher’s Association (JUTA) welcomed the meritorious researchers on last JUTA general meeting. However, the marsh lands, coastal regions and ocean environments are threatened due to the temperature and climate change. The harmful algae spread over in Ponds, lakes, ocean water that’s polluting due to mixing of rain, Precipitation anomalies and various pollutions. In future, due to the negative reactions of Algae (microsites ocean burg) at Asian Pacific region, lack of fresh water, marine food poisoning would be threatened to human body although all species are not harmful, Dr. Nuzrul Islam found that study during his research period. Meanwhile, He completed his Ph.D. with award in the “Ecological Modeling” based on Climate and Environment under the Monbukagakusho Scholarship of Japanese Government in The University of Tokyo, Japan. The award winning JU teacher said, “I am interested to work with environment and ecology as the purpose of ecology is to provide knowledge about the way of the world works and provide evidence on the interdependence between the natural world and people”. “A better understanding of ecological systems will allow society to predict the consequences of human activity on the environment”, he added. About the attainment, JU Vice chancellor Prof. Farzana Islam said, “The achievement is not only for Jahangirnagar University but also our beloved Bangladesh.” Among other achievements of Dr. Nazrul Islam includes “Best Paper Presenter Award” entitled Cynobacteria Bloom and Toxicity of Lake Kasumigaura in Japan by the 2nd International Conference Sustainable Future for human security, “Young Scientist Financial Award” by the committee of International IOC/WESTPAC science conference in South Asia, ‘Best Poster presenter Award” entitled Key Challenges and Effectiveness of Marine Region Creation in the Techno Ocean Conference in Japan. “First Class first” standing in both examination of Bechalor of Science (B.Sc.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) (Thesis group) in JU, Bangaldesh. Besides, his country experiences with study, research and international conference were in Bangladesh, The Netherlands, USA, Japan, Canada, Australia, UK, China, Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, South Korea, Czech Republic, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
