Dr. Rajinder Kumar Bhasin, Senior Engineering Geologist, Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI),Norway and Reshad Md. Ekram Ali, Director and Branch Chief (Urban and Engineering Geology), Geological Survey of Bangladesh (GSB) visited Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) on 29-09-2014 to monitor newly setup earthquake monitoring Seismic Station at JUST campus. Professor Dr. Md. Abdus Sattar, Vice- chancellor, Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) appreciates for this Seismic Station setup at JUST campus. The main target of this Seismic Station is to monitor earthquake magnitude, location and depth in this region. The continuous recorded data will serve the actual figure on earth structure, earthquake & plate tectonic. Norway give the technical and financial supports and Overall management given by Geological Survey of Bangladesh (GSB), Bangladesh.
