Dr. Stephen Grugin, Director of Bands at NMU, presents a commemorative plaque to our Band Director, Mr. Ben Sherk, at NMU’s Band Day 2014. This for the band and their participation in the 60th Band Day at NMU. From his days as a college student to today, Mr. Sherk has been in about half of those Band Days. The Kingsford High School Marching Band has been in a third of them and that is more than any UP high school. There were a number of band aficionados in the stands and quite a few were anticipating our school’s performance – Mr. Sherk and our students did not disappoint!
