Draft proposal for a petition (Please write your corrections and suggestions in the comment section), once agreed I will set it up in change.org: To: Wirral Council, council leader Please drop your proposal under the Dog Control Orders for dogs to be banned on the New Birghton promenade & beach. Sincerely, [Your name] We object to the councils proposal under the Dog Control Orders for the dogs ban on the New Brighton promenade & beach, on the grounds that this will seriously affect our ability to exercise our dogs and such a measure will also have a detrimental effect on tourism on Wirral promoted as being dog friendly. We do agree that the problem of irresponsible dog owners should be tackled but equally the problem of irresponsible beach users who leave a big amount of rubbish should be also talked. Additionally as responsible dog owners and Wirral citizens we feel that this proposal impacts on our freedom. Wirral has a significant number of dog owners who take responsibility for their dogs and don’t want to punished because of minority of irresponsible dog owners. We feel stronly against a council intent on dismissing the views of the majority in favour of pursuing their own agenda. Please sign the petition and write to the council reaffirming that these measures are not welcome.
