Dragonfly season is upon us. Waxwing Way, (the west end of the pond) seasonly becomes: Dragonfly Alley. The dragonflies alight on the rocks that line the shore. They have very specific territories and defend them well, It can be frustrating trying to photograph these insects but I try to keep in mind that they often immediately return to the same bare stick or rock that they just left.
