Drama at the sham conference: The sham conference organized by the clueless man aka Goodluck Jonathan began with dramas. The disunity of the country is once more displayed. Tunde Bakare, a mistaken selection by the yoruba wanted to pray in jesus name, while Kutigi, a brainwashed Nupe wanted to pray to moreharmmade, an arab goat-hereer, that was confusion number one. Confusion number two, the gullible westernized lots wants the delegates to drop their ethnicity and language at the gate of the conference - exactly the same way the colonial masters wants us in those to drop our native otherwise bush language at home and pick engirishi, a civilized language at the entrance gate of the school, and to also throw away our natural ethnic identity of either ibo, kanuri, edo, yoruba or ijaw and pick up Nigeria which they gave to us. Realy shameful especialy when you remember their 53rd independence celebration. So many right thinking and politicaly forward looking people like Prof. Ben Nwabueze, Amb. Ralph Uwechue, some Yoruba nd Ijaw leaders including my humble self did not agree with the idea of a National conference, because we wanted a Soverign National Conference. We did not see any sense in a national conference while we had spent and still spending billions on a group of opportunists we had selected as members of the senate nd house of representatives. These men, practically twenty first century illeterates had done us what the world no good will be an understatement.We see a national conference as equal to the job of these opportunists - a waste of time and money. But the people who without proper research into NATIONHOOD and NATIONALISM had erroneously come to accept the tag placed on us by a British teenager a hundred years ago as Niger area were pressuring us to to accept the National Conference which they, in their narrow thinking imagined would be same as a SNC. These folks, parading themselves as Nigerians thought it wise to exclude ethnicity in the confernce because they were detribalized Nigerians nd saying they were yoruba, igala, bini, ibo or ijaw is uncivilized whereas they see people calling themselves French, Jew, English, German, Chinese, Spaniards etc as civilized. Things begin to look funny the very day Jonathan, the organizer of the conference told his man servant, old sen. Femi Okuroumu that the unity of the British creation called Nigeria will not be discussed at the conference. Suprisingly, the old man yessed him. Looking at the whole set-up with my African eyes, I was forced to write nd post some questions on a facebook page attributed to Goodluck Jonathan. The questions are thus: 1, Mr president, you said the unity of the country is a no-go-area, is your statement also applicable to the disunity of the country? Is that also a no-go-area? 2, Is there any job in the national conference disimilar to the job of the law makers? If there are, what are they? 3, If the nations unity is shaky, as we all knew, why then must it not be discussed at your conference? 4, Some of us think and beleive that the way forward for the Nigerian nation is for all the ethnic groups that constitutes it to come together and agree wether to remain together or not. Those that do not wish to will say their oppinion and go their way while those wishing to remain will discuss how they want to it be. Sir, if you think our idea is not good, please, we will want to hear from you how a pretended unity is better. 5, Sir, we knew - like you do that no sitting president will want the country divided during his time. In this scenario, it will be technicaly safer to do away with the conference. 6, Mr president, we voted you in as a civilian president, to run a democratic goverment for us, is it still binding or have you evolved into another form of government? We ask you this question sir because we, having known the definition of democracy, which we beleive you also knew, are yet to grasp what you mean by the unity of Nigeria is a no-go-area at the conference because we until now beleive that you are limiting our freedom of expression as guaranteed by the democratic government you are elected to head.
