Dream 1, Logic 0. I was about to hire an amazing coach who is well known in the tapping and coaching business development world. She seemed more interested in helping me build my coaching business than what I was expressing I want. Dont get me wrong...I love coaching and I absolutely adore my clients. Im beyond blessed to do what I do for a living. And...I am always looking toward my next highest career ambition, so this is how I replied to her latest email: I dont want to release a book to build a coaching business. I want to release a book to be an author. I know authors who just focus on their books and readers are all but extinct. But I believe I can be one anyway, which is why it is possible. Maybe even probable. Im someone who became a female NHL writer with no journalism degree or contacts in sports and worked with the rich and famous within a couple of months of becoming an addictions coach. Everything Ive been successful at professionally has been unlikely, to say the least, and against the grain of how things are traditionally done. I plan to continue what has worked for me, which is stay true to my vision and trust the universe to provide the path to my dreams. I just sometimes need some coaching and guidance and accountability to get me past my blocks. Anything that doesnt relate to my book, including building additional revenue streams as you mentioned, just feels like an overwhelming distraction. I have zero interest in learning how to market my coaching right now. If clients find me, wonderful. I will give them everything I have. But my heart just isnt into building a business right now. Its into building a bestseller.
