Dressage day! Early morning- ran late thanks to Siri and traffic. Got on time for plenty of warmup. Luckily I was braided and boots shined. Sydney felt good but needed to poop- so was quick to get behind my leg. The test includes 10m trot circles, leg yielding, lengthenings and 3 halts. 1 of which I forgot and got dinged. We had an issue with a canter lead and I did my last halt late. So we have had better tests. We ended up with a 34.9 and in 12th place. We then got to go have our steeplechase practice! I have never done it and it was awesome. Stephen Bradley and another woman coached us. Sydney had a blast ! I think I held my breathe. Might be tough for 2.5 minutes. Then I hacked out with a couple girls on the A and C phase so we could figure out where to go. We only got lost a few times. :) Sydney thought it was great fun to canter up the hills with friends . A will be 15 minutes and C will be 23 and D will be 6. Then got to walk the XC course with the Schrams. Fences still look big :) 5th fence is the trakenhar, we have a big brush to a large water filled ditch, a big bank up, one stride over a brush fence with a big drop and a sharp turn to a C element, log with a legit serious slide landing, a few more drops, a jump in the water, a big log into water and a keyhole!!!! We had another meeting, dinner and back at the hotel Melissa and Maria had flown in to be my team so we went and ate and now its bedtime!!! Gosh I hope its as much fun as it looks!
