Drinking water airlifted to Maldives capital 100,000 suffer from the need of water after its water treatment plant went down in a fire. The world has become dependent on technology and CHANCE. We rely so much on technology that we have forgotten the truth about our lives being mortal. 1) At any time the air we breathe can turn into a Storm like the one currently hitting the Philippines. A Hurricane with a diameter of 1400 KM. Evacuation of 500,000 people has already taken place. 2) Today we can evacuate from one city to another or one country to another [some Islands are requesting this due to rise in sea levels]. But in the event of a worldwide storm, where would we go ? 3) We know that an asteroid changed the way this earth was back in the ages. All it took was a stone pelted from the infinitely large space-an asteroid mathematically insignificant as compared to the universe. It destroyed an entire age ! Massive and powerful dinosaurs disappeared. 4) A stone sized as nothing was enough to destroy life forms on earth... I can say- Nothing was enough to to end us !!!!!! We need to think where we are headed in this life. When we are angry, fighting, killing, stealing etc. All this is a pathetic state of our mankinds ignorance of the highest magnitude. We dont realize that we are at the mercy of Allah. But we confuse ourselves in believing that we have made such a fine world that we will last for ever. Little do we know that a big gush of wind or a shake of the earth or a disease from a tiny virus which you cant even see will be enough to eradicate us completely. It has happened in the past[Spanish Flu: took 50 to 100 million lives in a short period of 6 months]. We could not do anything about it except wait and watch. Then by the Mercy, it was allowed to stop..... Men will remain Men. Always running after materialistic desires.
