Driver Questions: 1.) Wondering about workmans comp how it works. Believe I was injured on the job but affaid to try to claim need to stay working to pay bills can you advise 2.) I currently haul campers in a one tonn pickup making an average of 1.40 a mile I drive 4000 miles a week but only get paid half those miles for some reason we very seldom get back hauls. Ive been looking into buying a semi and a 53 ft step trailer to haul doubles which pay 2.40 a mile. Even if I did not have a back haul Im still making almost double the money if I move up to a semi. I know I can pull doubles with my one tonn but Im thinking of longevity I dont want to buy a new truck every 3 years. One tonns are not built to carry 30k on a daily basis where as a class 8 is so my thinking is a semi would last longer. Do you think this would be a good move or should I just stick to my one tonn or switch to something other than hauling campers. Ive always wanted to get in a semi. So any help full info would be appreciated. Thanks 3.) What do you do if you come up to a scale that is open and trucks are already backed up on to the interstate causing a major safety hazard Go around and bypass the scale or become part of the road hazard?
