Driver The Embassy of Italy in Khartoum - Italian Cooperation Office )UTL( invites interested and qualified candidates to participate in the selection for the position of DRIVER for the Italian Cooperation Office )UTL( – Khartoum COD- ADM 21 UTL 2015 Position :Driver Brief description :To insure safe and efficient transportation of people and goods for UTL activities Duty station :Khartoum )Sudan( Duration:Up to December 31 st 201 5 )with 3 months probatory period( Starting :After selection procedure conclusion Deadline:December 18th, 2014 1. ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES . To drive the UTL vehicles for transportation of goods and human resources involved in DGCS or Italian Development cooperation activities, also during field trips,respecting all traffic rules and security procedures, especially regarding the safety of the passengers; . To clean and maintain the vehicles, proceeding on ordinary checks before daily use, informing the responsible for eventual malfunctioning or damages that could cause danger to the passengers; . Inform on necessity of periodical services or extraordinary reparations; . Verify the correct insurance of the vehicles, inform on deadlines; . To fill the vehicle log book in all its parts; . To assist in procurement procedures, supporting the delivery of request for quotations, evaluation of the goods, payments etc. . Other mansions compatibles with the driver profile that can be agreed with the employer. 2. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS 3. Minimum 5 years of experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities 4. Possession of a valid driving permit 5. Good knowledge of English, spoken and written 6. Ability to drive a 4 x4 vehicle safely and appropriately 7. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing 8. Ability to perform minor vehicle repairs 9. Ability to administer First Aid 3. PREFERENTIAL REQUIREMENTS . High School Diploma . Working experience ,n development cooperation )preferibly with an Italian agency( . Good knowledge of Arabic )oral and written(; . Knowledge of Italian language 1. SALARY The salary will be calculated proportionally with the candidate technical and professional capacities and will be according and compatible with the ranges defined in I 1th article, point 6 with Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs deliberation n. 220 of 2013. 2.
