This course is necessary to gain employment in the Private Ambulance Industry. Duration: 5 Days Duration: 5 Days Certification: PHECC accredited certificate in Driving – Non Emergency is awarded upon completion. Cost: €600 per person (3 people per course) Dates: 2nd June 2014 - 6th June 2014 & 9th June 2014 - 13th June 2014 Location: Unit 3, Block 3, City North Business Campus, Stamullen, Co. Meath. Entry Requirements: Participants must provide their own vehicle and insurance. Cost is €600 per person with 3 people per course. General Content: The driving standard must incorporate the following objectives: 1. Ambulance driving and the road traffic law 2. Vehicle maintenance and daily inspections 3. The system of vehicle control 4. The correct principles of positioning, steering and braking taking into account varying road surfaces, thereby ensuring good stability, vehicle sympathy and acceleration sense 5. The technique of reversing, thereby ensuring a standard of competency in reversing 6. Using appropriate driver signalling 7. The human factors that influence driver behaviour 8. Techniques to positively influence driver behaviour
