Drought Force Herders In Tiaty Cross Boundaries By Kiptoon Nicholas Over 4000 animals alleged to be from Silale have are said to have been moved by their owners to Arabal and Sukuta Marmar after Baragoi where they had gone earlier became dry. This morning and last night residents, of Silale migrated with their animals to Arabal due to lack of grass and water. Thousands of Cattle were last night spotted in Kapindasum. It is now worrying that if there will be no rains by August, there will be mass deaths of animals in east Pokot especially in Silale and Paka. The governor and other leaders who are currently holding a peace forum in Mukutani have agreed upon seeking permission from relevant authorities before taking animals to another grazing land so as to avoid conflict.
