Drove a EVO-X MR today. Was interesting. Wasnt overly impressed...The power was acceptable, the handling was as I expected. Steering felt great, I loved the interior, the Carbonfiber Recaro Seats, and the ducktail trunk lip...but what really had me was the Brakes, I was very surprised to see 2 piece rotors tucked under the BBS Wheels, Overall they felt great....but what really killed the car for me was the paddle shifters... IDK why the decided a Auto with paddle shifters was a good Idea for a MR, idk about previous EVOs, but for the GTO, the MR has always been a more hard core version that is lighter, and more focused for the driver. Especially 94-96 GTO-MRs, basically was a stripped down lightweight 3000GT with big AP Racing 6 piston calipers and 2 piece rotors,and minimum options to save even more weight... was rumored larger turbos too, but the EVO X MR is almost the exact opposite...
