(Drum roll...) An imposter takes stage to write a match report this week... therell be less superlatives... therell be less nicknames or references to professional players that many of us are too young to know.... and overall therell be less words overall... firstly fairness was a winner tonight, in absence of a referee, decisions were made in good spirit... even in the face of non-bibs letting one of their players down by not explaining the slide tackle thing; fairly usual bib formation with Gareth in goal, other players where youd generally expect them; first goal for non-bibs a post-handball penalty; an even game got to half time with the score still 1-0 to them; cue second half; still fairly tight, with non-bibs having the better chances but Edward Clark, James Ryland and Oliver Dickson working tirelessly up front and just margins away from making magic happen; then hammer blow with a hammer shot from non-bib Monty (Im slowly learning these new whipper snappers name) 2-0; needless to say as per usual (I think) Dave popped up to score a goal - their 3rd - and thats how it ended. Gareth, Simon Bucknell and Ross Miller were unlucky to be on the end of a defeat - they were at times resolute in defence = respect.
