DrumChops Drum School & Shop Product Review .. Gibraltar SC-GRUC R-Class Universal Hoop Clamp. Im always looking for accessories or parts that can not only make my setup just right, but also be universal to serve multiple purposes and light-weight. I found this Universal Clamp and ordered one to see what I could do with it. After trying a few things and putting it aside for a day or two, I found the perfect use in my kit. Using it off my floor tom rim, Ive setup a small boom for a set of Chimes. Ive always had trouble getting them in the perfect spot without having to carry around another stand, but this solution really works for me. In fact, this has worked so well Ive purchased a couple of more of these little guys and expect to find other great uses for them along the way. Meanwhile, I thought Id share this review and see what other drummers think of this product. Do you have one of these? How do you use it? If not, now that youve seen it, do you see an application for it in your kit?
