Dublins DJ PADDY SCAHILL will be performing on April 11 Resident DJ: The Dragon (Dublins biggest gay club), Bukkake @ Dame Lane - bank holiday Sundays and Biddy Barnets Bank Holiday Bonanzas. Paddy got into DJing aged 16 and used his mates decks to practice on until he was spinning proficiently. He eventually got some gigs on a very dodgy pirate radio station situated underneath a cab office in central Dublin. Fast forward to Paddys debut on Dublins gay scene, playing at electroclash night CandiPanti at Wax on Tuesdays and Hilton Edwards on bank holiday weekends. From there, he got gigs at legendary Friday night club H.A.M. at The Pod. When H.A.M. finally wound up in 2005 Paddy secured a Friday night residency at The Dragon where hes still playing (but on Saturdays now). Over the last few years hes played most of Dublins other hotspots like Switch, Spirit, Pantibar, Sauce at The Kitchen/Code 23 and more. Hes also to be found behind the decks at DTM some Sundays and across the street in Bukkake at Dame Lane on bank holidays, followed by slots at Biddy Barnets Bank Holiday Bonanza in Sweeneys on Bank Holiday Monday mornings. Festival-wise hes played in the thisispopbaby tent at Electric Picnic three years in a row. My aim has always been to play new sounds that carry people along without alienating them.
