Due the recent floods, many people living in the flood areas are homeless and in need to aid. They are lacking in food supplies, clean drinking water, medical aid and other necessities. One of concern is the need for clean and safe drinking water. Supplying bottled water is a temporary solution. However, a long term solution is needed. Each day, 4 bottles of bottled water will be consume per person. At the end of 2 weeks, we can be expecting up over 14 million bottles to be thrown away and this will cause high wastage and accumulated rubbish. When the flood have resided, there will be an urgent need to source out multiple sources of clean and safe drinking water for the victims as the drains and pipes will be choke with mud and debris. It will take 2 to 3 months to restore water supply to the people.
