Due to inclement weather the second loop of the swim was cancelled for age group athletes competing at IRONMAN Lake Placid. All age group athletes official results will include one loop of the swim and their Transition 1 time will be removed from their overall time. As of now, there are no set changes to the bike and run times. As usual, Ironman World Championship age group slots will be allocated based on overall time and placing within each age group. The professional athletes were able to complete two loops of the swim before the inclement weather so all professional athletes will receive a usual 2-loop swim time. We will continue to monitor the weather as the day continues, as athlete safety is our number one priority.
