Due to the HUDHUD cyclone which hit the coasts of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh in the month of October, 2014, many trains were cancelled and around 30-40 or more trains were diverted via Raipur-Nagpur-Ballarshah instead of their regular route of Vishakapatanam-Bhubaneswar.
