Due to the fact the wife was meeting up with a friend who had come into town and had a couple hours to kill and them being a little behind schedule we decided to go to Best Buy as I wanted to look at video cameras. I was thinking perhaps a GoPro or some other unit due to waterproof capability (not so much diving but rain). Anyway I happened to wander through the camera section and low and behold I think I found something I really want. Now this thing is a still camera but also takes high enough quality video for what I want to do. The kicker is it is waterproof and shockproof (still not going to drop it). The problem is it is a bit expensive although I have not checked out my favorite camera dealer to see if they have a reconditioned one. Anyway I am thinking orange because it will be hard to lose but it also comes in camouflage and I am a sucker for that LOL. I dont like the GPS aspect but I imagine you can turn it off. I will be looking more into it.
