Due to the new European Union tax laws, the way my business operates will be changing. Here are the changes and how they will affect my customers: 1. All patterns on Etsy will be available digitally, but not for instant download. You will receive your pattern within 24 hours of purchase via email. (Usually within an hour or so of purchase unless youre buying in the middle of the night.) 2. I will be selling exclusively to customers in the US & Canada. 3. I will be closing my Craftsy store entirely. In a nutshell, the new European Union tax law for digital sales states that if a customer in an EU country purchases from me and pays VAT (Value Added Tax) I am responsible to register with their country and pay that countries percentage of VAT to the relevent authorities. (there are 28 countries in the EU currently) There is no threshold on sales, so even a pattern selling for $1 requires me to register and pay it on. At the moment there are no alternative solutions through Etsy (or Craftsy) to exclude countries from digital sales. If one becomes available Ill implement it and happily go back to the instant download feature for my US & Canadian customers. Apologies all around for having to make this change! #etsy #VATMOSS
