Due to the storm on Thursday, we have been without electricity until this morning. Just wanted to say thank you to Philip, a fellow passenger on the CityCat who walked me back home on what turned out to be a pretty scary and treacherous journey - trees strewn across the pavement, water streaming across the road - he reconnoitered the pavement and roads on my behalf, stopping the traffic so that I could drive my mobility scooter on the road safely, hazard lights going full blast, and even tried to get a police escort at one point!! Bless him and bless all those men and women who have worked tirelessly to get Queensland back on the radar and to get our electricity restored. Forced to read by candlelight reminded be to be grateful for what we as Australians pretty much take for granted! Thinking of you Vivienne Imarisio :D
