Dull knives? No sharpener? The unglazed bottom bottom ring of a ceramic coffee cup works great as a knife sharpener. Just make a motion like youre cutting a very thin slice off the ring. Hint: If it just polishes the side of the blade, raise the angle slightly. Alternate sides of the knife blade at a consistent angle back and forth a few times and then try cutting something.
