Dunfermline, the ancient capital of Scotland is now one of Europes fastest growing towns with ambitious expansion plans. There is a vibrant creative community in the town and the surrounding region but there are at present limited cultural facilities. We believe there is an opportunity to create an arts centre for the town where creativity is encouraged and supported. The old fire station in the town centre has stood vacant for several years and is currently on the market. We have an exciting plan to convert this iconic building into an arts centre of local, regional and ultimately national importance. This enterprise will create opportunities for artists, designers and craftspeople to make and exhibit their work as well as providing a social and cultural hub for the people of Fife.
