Dungeons and Dragons Wednesday Night Encounters Question and - TopicsExpress

Dungeons and Dragons Wednesday Night Encounters Question and Answer I get this similar questions like this all the time, hopefully this clarifies for any beginner player a little bit about what Dungeons and Dragons Wednesday Night Encounters is all about. This also applies to our Saturday 1:30 Pokemon Dungeons and Dragons Journey and our Saturday 4:00 Pathfinder Society. Question; Hi Cardboard Memories, I have recently picked up both the starter pack and players guide for 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons. This is my first experience with Dungeons and Dragons, however I have played board games like Mansions of Madness in the past. I found your store from looking on the Dungeons and Dragons store search. I have not yet played any DnD games as I cannot find a group to play with, however I have watched a number of play sessions and understand the basic flow of the game. If I wanted to start coming on the Wednesday encounters, what would you suggest I do to prepare? I want to start creating a character but I wanted to check in to see what rules/guidelines any DM I am playing with would want before I start. Also as this would be my first time doing organized table top gaming, please let me know anything that I should be aware of before I come in for my first session as I dont want to be a burden on any party I am playing with. Thanks, Answer: Thanks for the inquiry! Bring your D/D books if youd like, they are helpful but not necessary. As a new player you will learn a lot more quickly of the mechanics by playing with experienced players than you will from the books. As you become more experienced however the books will become an essential reference. All you really need to play with our groups is a pen/pencil and a positive friendly attitude, well teach you the rest! If you have dice bring them, if you dont you can borrow some of ours or you can buy some here at the store. As far as a character sheet goes, if you can fill it out ahead of time great, but if you want to come by about 1/2 hour early say 5:30 someone will be here, probably Alex, to walk your way through it with you. We probably have a following of about 60 people who participate. Some are here every week, some are here twice a month and some only drop in infrequently. Usually the crowd is between 20-25 people with 3-4 groups paired by experience. New players are made especially welcome. The emphasis here is having a good time for a couple of hours with with old friends and making some new ones as well. If youd like to attend wed be more than happy to welcome you. Any further questions just let me or Alex know. Best regards; David Cardboard Memories Inc. cbmemories@aol cardboardmemories.ca facebook/cardboard.memori
