During 1950s and 1960s and the nuclear arms race and the Cold War, - TopicsExpress

During 1950s and 1960s and the nuclear arms race and the Cold War, comes radical leader named Nikita Khrushchev. He is President of the Soviet Union and makes a bold and direct threat against the United States of America. History calls it the Bay of Pigs incident. Pres. John Fitzgerald Kennedy stood his ground and demanded the Soviets remove the nuclear missiles from Cuba. This is reported to have been the closest United States has ever come to nuclear war. While most Americans went on with their daily lives little did they know how close decimation was. That event gone unchecked couldve sparked a devastating nuclear war between the Soviets and United States. Pres. John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the right man at the right time. There are a few on that side of the aisle that we could rely on to be the same caliber of leader. I have in my possession and in my collection a unique and rare pamphlet created by the United States Army entitled Guide to Survival in Nuclear Warfare, July 1959. $15
