During VBS tonight we were doing the foot washing story. I was dreading that because I hate bringing attention to my feet. I hate my toe nails...As we were washing all the kids feet one girl was covering her foot. Cari said its okay and she uncovered what she was embarrassed about. She was missing some toes and looked very self conscious about it. As I continued washing kids feet, I heard Cari say, its okay, I think its beautiful. The girl looked totally shocked and slowly uncovered her foot. Bewildered she looked at Cari and slowly wasnt ashamed anymore. In that moment I saw a picture of how Jesus looks at us. We are so ashamed of our deformities, but he calls us beautiful and rejoices over us. PRAISE GOD!!!
