During a brutally cold snap last winter, I went to a house I was planning to hold open. This is the sight that greeted me. The furnace in the vacant house had gone off, causing the pipes to freeze and break. When I arrived on Sunday afternoon, It seemed odd that there was water dripping from the eaves onto the front porch, so I took this video. When I opened the door, it was raining inside the house from the broken pipes on the second floor. The resulting repairs meant all interior walls (and floors) in the house had to be removed and replaced. One lucky buyer got a totally updated home (including new plumbing and wiring).
