During a lesson on racial segregation laws during the Jim Crow era, a Michigan middle school teacher told students that white entertainers used to paint their faces black to imitate black people (a historical fact). Interestingly, the schools principal deemed the lesson racist in itself and placed the teacher on administrative leave. Is this principal and the suspension out of line? (Posted by Eric Martinez)
