During a short holiday trip yesterday evening, I visited my winter wonderland...and spend Christmas at the apartment...while I was there I went into the forest...on one of the rented skidoos...with a guide...to find the cabin...as there were no pine nuts to collect, and I prefer to do something useful...I decided to use my Christmas snowshoes (I tried making some...there was some confusion...) and hike around the area collecting fallen branches to save for firewood. Later, I stored them in the side woodhouse...which is attached to the main cabin by a long porch on the front of the cabin...and then I relearned to pluck a ptarmigan..as I have not seen that done since I was a teenager. Earlier in the evening I did laundry and watched a movie about a man in Kazakhstan who was searching for a wife so that his sisters husband would allow him to raise sheep of his own. They really should not have been touching the lambs mouths with their dirty hands...but it was interesting.
