During courtship and early stage of marriage, couples try everything they could to please each other. Some men will go as far as borrowing money from friends to buy expensive gift for their beloved. This time, men are generous. They pay loving attention to their spouse, keep her company, assist her to the best of their ability and show interest in the things of her interest. The women dress to please their men looking good and smelling sweet. Smiles never lack on their faces adorned with occasional laugher. They try to work hard and are ready to make sacrifices where the need arises. These are made to please the spouse and more often than not, they are the things couples set their eyes on when they are signing the marriage register. After wedlock, individuals begin to relax. Women are no more bothered about their looks. They get easily agitated as frown replaces smiles. They become lazy and self-centered. For the men, stinginess replaces generosity. They become too busy with their work that little attention is paid to their wives. Is it any wonder that conflict often erupts as the flame of love begins to wane?
