During last nites yoga class the ladies were lamenting on how difficult it is to melt down belly fat. If you are feeling the same way, maybe you need to change up your diet a little bit in addition to challenging your body in new ways (try Core or Yoga for example!). My tip of the day: WATCH OUT FOR SUGAR. Sugar hides everywhere. PLAIN YOGURT can have 19 grams of sugar per serving! Sugar is one of those things that will directly cause fat to accumulate in the belly area. Ironically, fat in the diet doesnt work quite the same way -- so perhaps add back some good fats and take out those sugars, the obvious as well as the hidden ones. Whole fat yogurt, for example, is SO FILLING that 1/2 cup will keep you full for hours. It tastes awesome (full fat greek yogurt is not bitter, more like sour cream) AND has nearly half the sugar of its low fat counterpart. Try it -- if your current strategy isnt working, this may be the magic bullet for you :) BTW avoid all artificial sweeteners at all cost. Your body is not that easily outsmarted.
