During season three something happened. There was an orchestration by some people that was intended to give a different team victory, but lucky enough it was discovered and stopped. Whatever happened during the ultimate show season four wasn’t quite different from that. No matter how well Sifa melodies would have performed, it had already been decided that chavakali friend’s church choir are the winners of the ultimate choir competition season four. This is Kenya I understand but the whole judgment was flawed because of interference by a few individuals. Away from that let’s capture a few things as follows; Some common icon in his address at a function somewhere in vihiga county was overheard saying that,”Chavakali MUST win this competition by ALL MEANS.” These words carry a lot of weight. The KBC team together with the judges at Franka hotel Kakamega where they accommodated themselves were severally seen with representatives from Chavakali and Bungoma county choirs. This speaks a lot. What happens when am a judge and at the same time I maintain a close connection with the participants of the competition in which I am a judge? Obviously my judgment will be compromised. How were these judges to know these when they were just money minded. St. Josephs were sacrificed for Bungoma county choir and that sucked. It was clear at that time st. josephs cathedral was above Bungoma county choir in terms of performance. But since the stupid idea of regional balancing came in and the fact that judge Mukasa comes from Bungoma then St. Josephs cathedral choir had to go. So many other things I could have mentioned including producer Stella’s words on the morning of the finals day, not forgetting Nicholas Omondi’s words on the same day to members of Sifa melodies. Therefore there is a clear thread of connection among all these factors which leads us to one conclusion whish’s very simple, the winner had already been decided way back even before the finals. There is an element of corruption coming out, political interference and compromised judgment in addition to a host of other factors only noticeable by a critical thinker. If this trend is adopted even for the subsequent seasons to come, trust me no one will turn up for auditions, remember THE CHOIR on kiss TV?, after a series of corruption by the winning teams, the whole show lost its credibility and it went down the trench. If the program, ultimate choir aims to support churches exclusively then clear information should be provided so that small groups with independent identities like Sifa melodies should not waste time auditioning and going so far like they did and at the end victory stolen from them. Something else noticeable is that groups of youngsters can never win these TV competitions, too bad. To KBC the show is slowly losing its credibility, to the judges; Mbuvi next time be able to see mistakes where there are some, to you everything is just good. Judge Esther outside here people don’t like you for your behavior. You behave confused. Mukasa let not money blind you from seeing the truth strive to REMAIN objective even when people try to bribe.
