During the Inspection of the Battalion, the General kept on saying ‘I conceive ……..’ He said so at places where some specific point was brought to his notice . . At the end of Inspection the General joined all officers for a session of Beer at the mess and during that time he asked youngsters if they had any specific issues ... AND ... The ‘formalities as per protocol’ continued. . . Suddenly the General Officer asked one youngster in particular if he had anything to say or ask. . . Finding the encouragement and seeing the General also enjoying his glass of Beer, the youngster said: - . “Sir, you kept on conceiving throughout the day, BUT I want to know … WHEN WILL YOU DELIVER?”
