During the early hours of the morning a vehicle laden with flammable gas canisters was driven - apparently deliberately - into the front of the offices of the council buildings housing both South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse District Councils. The resulting fire has all but destroyed the building. While 13 fire crews were on site, two more fires were raging one nearby and one in the village of Rokemarsh just three miles north, started deliberately and again involving highly explosive gas cylinders. Our reporter Katharine DaCosta has been on site throughout the day and sent this report.
