During the era of dictatorship in Nigeria, a man I met in one of my trips to the North, told me that the system was naturally divided amongst the three major tribes: 1) Trade and Commerce= Igbo. 2) Economy= Yoruba. 3) Power= Hausa. Understandably, when other tribes think and claim they are wiser, stronger, and more industrious, the hausas slowly but patiently and calmly hang on the byline and sidelines for the opportunity to pounce on power. And when authority is with them, the once unintelligent and carefree hausa man begins to control, direct and dictate the affairs of the wise,strong, industrious and illustruos fellows. What is my point there??? Christians what is/are your Calling(s), Portion(s)??? David desired to remain in the temple of GOD in order to continuously inquire from HIM, and Solomon also began his reign by completely seperating himself to seek the Face of GOD. (Ps.27:4, 2Chron.1:1-17). It is sickening to notice that many are been deceitfully led astray by corrupt ministers and corrupted hearts. And in their desperation for riches and affluence chose the way of the Gentiles while forfeiting the best portion reserved for them. MY people are destroyed for lack of Knowledge. Because you have rejected Knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for ME... *2Cor.11:12-15 RSV< And what I do I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of CHRIST. And no wonder, for even satan disguises himself as an angel of Light. So it is not strange if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of Righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. *1Tim.4:1-2 RSV< Now the SPIRIT expressly says that in later times some will depart from the Faith by giving heed to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons through the pretensions of liars whose consciences are seared... *1Tim.6:6-13 NKJV< Now GODliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the Faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. *2Tim.3:10-14 RSV< Now you have observed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my Faith, my patience, my sufferings, what befell me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra, what persecutions I endured; yet from them all the LORD rescued me. Indeed all who desire to live a GODly life in CHRIST JESUS will be persecuted, while evil men and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceivers and deceived. If GOD is for us, who can be against us? HE WHO did not spare HIS OWN SON, but delivered HIM up for us all, how shall HE not with HIM also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against GODs elect? It is GOD WHO justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is CHRIST WHO died, and furthermore is also risen, WHO is even at the Right Hand of GOD, WHO also makes intercession for us. Who shall seperate us from the Love of CHRIST? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: For YOUR sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through HIM WHO loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to seperate us from the Love of GOD which is in CHRIST JESUS our LORD. Acclamation: *Mt.7:13-17 NKJV< Enter by the Narrow Gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because Narrow is the gate and difficult is the way that leads to Life, and there are few who find it. Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your FATHER knows that you need these things. But seek the Kingdom of GOD, and all these things shall be added to you. Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the Heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys.
