During the holidays, many feel a sense of goodwill and cheer giving to their local food bank or favorite nonprofit. Please remember, the need is always there, 12 months a year. When my students would conduct their food drive, I would always pick off months-those months without major holidays. Many, if not most, give during the holidays and forget about the rest of the year. The problem is that holiday giving floods the food banks, etc but doesnt carry over enough into the other times.
