During the inauguration of the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital management board on Monday, Governor James Ongwae challenged legislators from the Gusii region to lobby for more funds from the National Government to the facility. The Governor indicated that an estimated KShs.8 billion was required to revamp facilities at the hospital, which has a catchment of over 5 million people, to accord to its new status. Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka who was present at the ceremony challenged the Jubilee administration to allocate more funds to the facility. The legislator who sits in the National Assembly’s budget committee vowed to whip his parliamentary colleagues from the Gusii region to push for more funds to the hospital and Kisii University. Nyaribari Masaba MP Elijah Moindi pledged to support the County Government in its quest to bring development closer to the people. Do you support?
