During this Memorial Day weekend lets please all remember what its really about... Remembering the fallen! I think its important that we do that. The reason we are able to take this weekend to relax, have a good time, and connect with our friends and family is all due to the sacrifices that others have made on our behalf. I pray everyone be safe. Too often you hear about fatal wrecks and such on this weekend and thats a shame. In a way, its not really supposed to be a party. Its a day to remember those who have lost their lives. On the other hand, I feel those spirits are happy for us to celebrate what they fought and died for, knowing well see them again. Another thing that would mean a lot is to ALWAYS remember to thank a Vet. No matter where you are. I can remember my Grandfather telling me this when I was a boy. Always thank a Vet when you meet them he would say, and I always have. You see those license plates all the time...Vets who have their service marked on their tags along with medals they may have received. Give em a HONK and wave! Almost all of us have friends and family who served...go out of your way to acknowledge what theyve done...let em know you love them and are thankful. Ive even been in a parking lot with my sons when Ive noticed a tag. Walking over and respectfully introducing ourselves and giving thanks has led to some very heartfelt conversations and a way to meet some very, very cool people. Weve got problems in this country right now but were still strong. Its because of these folks that we are. Everyone be safe and enjoy and THANK YOU VETERANS EVERYWHERE!
