Dutch investment boosts European sustainable energy! A consortium of investors have received approval to build ‘Gemini’; the largest wind energy plant ever to be built in the North Sea. The massive 2.8 billion Euro project will raise 150 offshore wind turbines and will provide electricity to an estimated 1.5 million people. Once operational the plant will reduce Dutch CO2 emissions by an estimated 1.25 million tons a year: a big contribution towards the overall EU target of a 20% reduction by 2020!
