E-100 Day #92 (2 Cor. 4:1-6:2) is done & is fascinating. Too much for one post but worth asking lots of questions: As Paul deals with false teachers, notice how he emphasizes that the message & ministry is not about him. So, do you follow or watch or promote or know any ministries that are more about that person than about Jesus? What do you think of people who write books about Jesus & have their pictures on the cover? Have you ever heard a preacher whose sermon is about him/her & not Jesus? Continuing: If Paul can call his hardships momentary light afflictions then what does that say about our complaints about our afflictions? Where is our focus far too frequently? Do we realize that God has a better plan & that He is preparing us? What does it mean to be a new creature or new creation? Do you realize what it took for that to happen (see 5:21)? What does it mean that God made Christ to be sin on our behalf? How should we respond to a God who would do something like this for us?
