E Mail to Rte from Deirdre ... A Chara Re: The Saturday Night Show - 13th December 2014 - RTE Player I am very disappointed to see that the above mentioned show is not available on RTE Player and from what I can gather - the reasoning behind this is that a member of the audience decided to voice his anger at the end of the show - as a TV Licence holder - I find think if this is the reason - then RTE are in breach of my contract with them - the licence I hold permits me to access RTE Player for a period of 21 days after a broadcast - as this is the only time I have ever come across this type of blockage - As a TV licence holder I request that a public apology is aired to me and every TV licence holder in the country and the programme is made available immediately - In failure of that - I request a public explanation again to me and every TV Licence holder in the country and please do not insult my intelligence that it is a glitch in the system - this is the 21st Century and with todays modern technology - glitches can be fixed. RTE are playing a very dangerous game with the people of Ireland - the bias coverage of what is happening today in our country regarding the discontent of the people over water charges is despicable. My advice to you is to Remember who are your bread and butter - who pays the high salaries - it is bad enough that our so called elected representatives have this Bolshevik attitude towards us and to para phrase my late mother - their day will come! However, for you to kowtow to them as our national TV Station - is beyond belief when in fact you should be giving equal coverage to all sides - I am gone from being disappointed to now being perplexed - for years I have paid my TV licence with only RTE 1 & 2 available in my area -while the likes of Dublin and the surrounding areas enjoyed BBC/ITV/CH4 etc., - I had to avail of SKY TV to get those - GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER RTE Is mise le meas Deirdre Culligan
