EARLIER I HAD SENT THE PENNSYLVANIA STATE UNIVERSITY RIFLE - TopicsExpress

EARLIER I HAD SENT THE PENNSYLVANIA STATE UNIVERSITY RIFLE CLUB THIS MESSAGE: I AM HORRIFIED, SADDENED, AND ANGERED BY THE LOSS OF OUR RAPTORS (BALD EAGLES, FALCONS, HAWKS....) DUE TO LEAD POISONING FROM IRRESPONSIBLE HUNTERS USING LEAD BULLETS TO HUNT WITH. THESE POOR CREATURES DIE A HORRIFIC DEATH AND IT CAN BE AVOIDED BY USING LEAD FREE BULLETS TO HUNT. THE NUMBER OF BALD EAGLES KILLED EVERY YEAR FROM LEAD POISONING IS STAGGERING. AS THE BALD EAGLE IS PROTECTED AND OUR NATIONAL SYMBOL FOR STRENGTH AND FREEDOM IT SHOULD BE A CRIME FOR EVEN ONE BALD EAGLE TO DIE FROM LEAD POISONING BECAUSE OF AN IRRESPONSIBLE HUNTER. BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY TO ENFORCE THIS I AM REACHING OUT TO DEFENDERS OF WILDLIFE TO LOBBY AGAINST LEAD BULLETS AND HAVE THEM OUTLAWED. DEFENDERS CAN DO THIS THEY HAVE THE POWER TO DO THIS. SPREAD THE WORD TO OUTLAW LEAD BULLETS. THIS IS THE RESPONSE I GOT: Hello Denise, As a shooting club we support our sport and would like to keep this page only for those that also support us. We support Olympic style rifle shooting which does involve lead bullet and as such an organization we will continue to support our sport in all that entails, including lead bullets. I can see you feel differently and as such I would prefer that you do not post on our page again. Thank you.
