EARLIER TODAY I HAD ANOTHER CLOSE ENCOUNTER OF THE BIZARRE KIND WITH YOUR AVERAGE LOVING AND OPEN MINDED PROGRESSIVE. I was wearing what was once one of my favorite t-shirts that had now been reduced to a work shirt. I was off to help a friend of a friend. A guy I did not know as a favor to my buddy. Almost immediately after arriving this "open minded Progressive" read my shirt and quickly became aroused and angered. What highly offensive bit of filth was there displayed on my apparel? As I walked home I was reminded of the words of Voltaire, “It is clear that the individual who persecutes a man, his brother, because he is not of the same opinion, is a monster.” I may differ with many politically and philosophically. I may over step the line of decorum and believe that almost all is fare game in the word of politics, yet never have I hated my fellow based SIMPLY on a difference of opinion.
